Palm Sunday:Lay Down Your Burdens
What is it that we perceive we are most in need of being saved from? What burdens, stessors, sin or more have clouded our vision and captured our thoughts.
We talked today about perspective. We have an eternal perspective. The world has a temporal one. In other words for the world it is all about today. For us it is all about eternity. That's why in the 1 Corinthians passage we read, the cross if foolishness to those who are perishing, but everything to those who believe. Does that thinking truly pervade our thoughts, minds and actions. Or are we just as caught?

We are gifted with an eternal perspective through God’s gift of his son to die for our sin.
I know I believe in the eternal perspective, I’m just not sure I always consider it in terms of ALL or EVERYTHING and probably that’s lack of perspective or lack of obedience or effort.
When you mentioned the public outcries against the Easter Bunny - that's what settled around my heart. Effort. Not why don't other Christians have an equal indignation against public outcries about our belief but what effort am I willing to make? (Comment this)
The video was helpful. I guess I don't recognize that I, more than not, am listening to the wrong voice. I also like seeing the crosses in everyday places. That has been a good reminder to step back and take another look at things. (Comment this)
