Alive: To Truly Live
Hope creates action.
Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have it to the FULL. St. Irenaeus said, “The Glory of God is man fully alive.”
Is your hope in Jesus? Has it changed your action?
Pastor Ben said that often what gets in the way of us being joyful and fruit bearing is often our self. Surrendering is the best way to allow God to show you the things that you need to let go. There isn’t a list of “stuff to do”. Seek Him and the rest will follow.
Could it really be that easy?
Are you willing to surrender? Have you already done so and has it made a difference in your life? So, are you awake and living? What does it mean to be fully alive? What inspires you?
Happy New Year! I hope the glory of God is alive in your life.

Surrender. Culture just hasn’t made this that great of an action. Maybe I've just watched Wizard of Oz too much? Although it is probably a lot harder than my mind makes it, surrendering just seems like the easy way out. If I surrender, what do I do?
It’s also hard for me to reconcile when to do this. There are decisions to be made and paths to choose and if you aren’t well versed in discernment or interpreting God’s direction from the Bible or you don't think you've ever heard back from God on any of the prayers you’ve prayed, it’s pretty easy to turn your focus away from God and then you are back to focusing on yourself.
I’m not saying that’s the right thing to do but it does take effort and patience and perhaps a great mentor or teacher to help develop the skills to make this an everyday habit instead of just a good idea.
